This is my 39th year of teaching piano.  I have lived in Beaumont since 1989, raising all 3 of my children here. Love my community! All my children are now married adults. I have 6 beautiful grandchildren, 3 of whom are in the Accelerated program!

My approach to  Piano Teaching is unique.  As a classically trained pianist, I noticed many of my colleagues could beautifully play written music.  What seemed to be lacking in training was improvising, playing in a band, composing, chording, and playing by ear. To me, that is what puts the “ART form” into music. I attempt to blend all modalities when teaching so that my students are very versatile pianists. I am not the type of teacher that insists on testing and festivals. However, if requested by the student, I will certainly participate in those areas.  I prefer recitals, in-class performance, and encouraging students to play for others.
